A Decision to Serve God in Holiness Every Time

holinessHoliness has always been God’s priority. Children of Israel sinned repeatedly against him with their unholy characters to the extent that they pressured him to allow terrible situations to befall them.

Isaiah, the mouth piece of God prophesied,

“Here is a message about the Valley of Vision: What is the reason that all of you go up to the rooftops? The noisy city is full of raucous sounds; the town is filled with revelry. Your slain were not cut down by the sword;they did not die in battle.

All your leaders ran away together— they fled to a distant place; all your refugees were captured together—they were captured without a single arrow being shot.

So I say: “Don’t look at me! I am weeping bitterly. Don’t try to console me concerning the destruction of my defenseless people.” For the sovereign master, the Lord who commands armies, has planned a day of panic, defeat, and confusion. In the Valley of Vision people shout and cry out to the hill.” (Isaiah 22:1-5 NET).

Lesson on A Decision to Serve God in Holiness

Sin is a terrible thing that has ever happened to mankind.

It caused the first man and first woman to fall from grace; it continues to build walls of separation between humanity and God.

Sin makes it difficult for God to perform his wonders in the lives of his people.

Since God is holy, he cannot deal with sin. Meanwhile, Satan, the enemy of righteousness continues to pester human with all sorts of sinful activities that can irritate God.focus

However, God has provided an escape route for people who are trapped in sin.

Jehovah provided his Son Jesus Christ as a sure route of escape.

Any man or woman who believes in Jesus can overcome craving of sin, and escape the penalty of sin. Christ the Son of God is the pathway to victory.

To enjoy the victory, a person must confess Christ as his/her personal Lord and Savior. The scripture stated,

“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:9-10 NKJV)

Prayer on God’s Help to Serve Him in Holiness

sharpDear Lord, I have the desire to serve you in holiness; I want to meet your expectations and live a holy life.

Meanwhile, it is sometimes difficult to meet your holiness standard; therefore, I am asking for your special grace to measure up.

Empower me through your Holy Spirit to do what pleases you so that I can be qualified to enter your kingdom.

In addition, I understand that no one can make it to heaven without first confessing Jesus Christ as Lord.

Therefore, I confess your Son Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior.

I will follow him today, and throughout my life – so help me God. Amen.

Believers To Present Honest Service To God

serviceHonest service means a lot to God. He reigns over the earth, and all people ought to honor him. People of different classes and status should submit before the Creator since he is the highest being in existence.

All people ought to submit before God and serve him with full devotion.

Jehovah is God; he is supreme and has dominion over all things. Humanity has no choice than to serve him. Our services to the Creator would be regarded to as “a show of commitment” to him.

prayerAll people must aspire to satisfy God with good worship. We must ensure that our worships are authentic before him. That is, our services must be void of lip service or eye service.

Christians must ensure that whatever service we offer to God comes from a plain and honest mind – Thorough service.

Anyone can be tempted to consider himself (or herself) as indispensable, or consider his offering to be overly significant. No good believer should entertain such thought! A good Christian must not consider his spiritual activities to be too important before God.

God does not need our services to survive. He doesn’t feed on anyone’s gratuity other than to accept it as a show of an appreciation for his benefits rendered.

God desires our worship so that he can turn it to our avenue of blessing. God will bless us if we thoroughly worship him

To bring effective service to God’s satisfaction, each believer need to evaluate whatever effort that he or she makes. Every Christian must check to see that nothing bias or selfish is consists in his services.

That is,

  1. No one should be deceived to think that he/she is indispensable before God.
  2. No one should think that his/her services are good enough to sustain God.
  3. Any service that a believer presents to God must come from a pure heart of humility.

God needs none of our services to fulfill his mandate in any given situation. God declares in the Bible,

“If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world and its fullness are mine. Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats? Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and perform your vows to the Most High, and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me” (Psalm 50:12-15 NKJV).

questionWhy Should People Present Honest Service To God?

There are many reasons why humanity must honor God and bring him honest services.

    • Firstly, he is God and we are human. He is above and we are beneath!

    • God furnishes us with many great things freely at his own expense. We don’t pay him royalty for the air that we breathe.

    • He gives us rainfall and sunshine freely.

    • He provided us health care that no mortal person can boast of.

  • He chooses not to make our health affordable, but free!

The list of God’s goodness to humanity is endless. Anyone who subjects himself to good thought will realize multiple benefits that he can appreciate him for.

In conclusion,

Don’t Be An Ingrate: Offer True Worship To God

All people (especially Christians) ought to reverence God and give him thorough worship at all times. It is important that each Christian makes his or her services to God come from a devoted heart.

Whatever anyone considers good worship must be void of pride, selfishness, and grudges.

Almighty God desires perfect worship from you!

    • Ensure your attitude supports your motive whenever you come before God to offer your appreciation.

    • Don’t be reluctant. Don’t come under impulses – Be free and happy!

  • Your article presented must not be with fake impression or bias mind. Be honest with your article – Whether it is money, material, or any other.

Quality and Quantity Matter To God!

Christians should not only give their best to God, but we must offer them in abundance.

Christian must make God feel the importance of our actions. We must ensure they are genuine before him. Quality and quantity are important to God. That is, our presentations before God must be with quality offerings, and they must be presented in quantities.

Solomon offered several thousands of sacrifices to God. (1 Kings 8:63).

prayerPrayer Of Grace To Dignify God With True Service

Dear God, I ask you to please give me grace to serve you with fear and dignity.

Let my services be presented before you with simplicity of heart, and with humility. Help me to focus on faithful activities that will glorify your Holy Name.

Please let my offerings be acceptable to you, and bless me. Most importantly, please establish my feet in your presence to keep faithfully serving you, so that I can remain fit for your kingdom.

Please keep me worthy for your eternal kingdom O Lord!

For in the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.

God’s View on Tithe Payment

bible fact

Tithe Payment Is Important To God

Tithe payment is God’s principle. He emphasized the need for Israelites to pay their tithes once they reach the Promised Land. God said,

reward“When you have finished laying aside all the tithe of your increase in the third year—the year of tithing—and have given it to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, so that they may eat within your gates and be filled, then you shall say before the Lord your God: ‘I have removed the holy tithe from my house, and also have given them to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, according to all Your commandments which You have commanded me; I have not transgressed Your commandments, nor have I forgotten them’” (Deuteronomy 26:12-13 NKJV).

Lesson on Tithe

titheIt is important that every believer understand the principle of tithe payment and comply with it.

God requires his children to pay him the ten percent (10%) of their incomes (which is also known as tithe) to provide resources for gospel evangelization, meet ministers needs, and also serve poor people.

Believers must understand that Jehovah does not negotiate tithe, but he claims ownership on it – as his own entitlement. God allows us to have personal claim on the remaining 90% of our incomes.

errorHowever, despite the large 90% of our incomes that we personally own, some believers still find it difficult to give God his own share; they would prefer to keep complete 100% for their personal use, therefore God labels them as thieves! (Malachi 3:8-10).

However, God who established the rule of tithe will not give his disobedient children a pat on the back.

Those who failed in paying their tithes are considered to have failed test of character, and they will have some consequences to face for their actions.

Some consequences may include a delayed blessing or loss of opportunities.

However, believers who honor God with their incomes by faithfully paying their tithes will receive more blessings from him. Jehovah will give his faithful believers more reasons to keep their faithful practices!

Prayer on Tithe

titheDear God, please help me to faithfully observe the principle of paying my tithes to you.

Enough of hindering my own blessings due to my unfaithfulness!

Please forgive me of my past failures, and let me start paying my dues to you so that I can be adequately blessed.

Please let doors of opportunities open towards me from every side, and let me be more blessed so that I can be able to present you my “fat tithes and offerings!”

Let the testimony of your goodness ever fill my mouth!

For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
