Effective communication with God is the key to overcoming any life problem.
Absalom overthrew his father King David, and attempted to kill him.
The despondent wandered in the wilderness with no clear-cut of what to do.
The situation caused the most honorable man in Israel to cry like baby. During the distressful time, David lamented in prayers to God.
He communicated with his Maker during distress as the scripture reported,
“David went up by the Ascent of the Mount of Olives, and wept as he went up; and he had his head covered and went barefoot. And all the people who were with him covered their heads and went up, weeping as they went up” (2 Samuel 15:30).
Lesson on Communication with God
Children of God ought to turn to God through prayer whenever they are in difficult situations.
The world is comprised of both positive and negative circumstances; therefore, Christian should pray to overcome them all.
Since God loves his people, he will answer their prayers. He will not abandon his own people during crisis.
Prayer is simply a means of communicating with with God, and the Creator is ever willing to see his children engaging in it.
Believers must pray an tell the Creator how they feel and what they need. There is nothing whatsoever that a Christian should not talk to God about.
Christians should not be afraid to talk to their Heavenly Father.
He is the omniscience and almighty!
He has the reservoir of all goodness at his disposal.
The more believers pray to him the better their lives will become.
Through prayers to God, mountains will come down, and valleys will level.
Those who pray to God and reserve their trust in him will not be ashamed under whatever condition.
“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not” (Jeremiah 33:3).
Prayer of Communication
Dear God, please teach me how to pray to you for help during difficult situations.
When I pray, please listen.
Answer my prayers and grant every request of my heart.
Let me live in joy, peace, and prosperity throughout the days of my life.
For in the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.
