Anyone who is a born-again Christian has become transformed from being a sinful person to a person of holiness. Such person is expected to abide by God’s standard of holiness.
The scripture stated,
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV).
Lesson on How to Live New Life in Jesus Christ
Christianity involves spiritual transformation of souls from sinfulness to holiness. Therefore, a person who becomes a child of God must be ruled by the Spirit of God.
He (or she) ought not operate in sin anymore. Since his acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, he must disengage himself from old ways of life.
He must start to demonstrate godly lifestyle. As a born again Christian, he must allow God’s Holy Spirit to comfort, instruct, and direct him so that he can remain qualified to receive God’s blessings on earth and in heaven.
In addition, people who are possessed with the Spirit of God are recognized to be adopted sons and daughters of God.
Meanwhile, people who refuse Jesus’ account of resurrection, and those who fail to confess Christ as their Lord and Savior will not have portions with God in heaven.
Their portions will be with devil in hell fire (Matthew 25:41). Therefore, everyone who aspires to go to heaven must confess Jesus Christ as his/her Lord and Savior.
Prayer of Confession in Jesus Christ
Dear God I want to go to heaven, therefore I am determined to become a born-again Christian. I confess your Son Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior.
I believe he died for my sins and resurrected. I also believe that I can only receive forgiveness of sins through him. Therefore, I confess my sins and repent from them.
I declare my total life for Jesus Christ as from today. I will serve him today, and throughout the days of my life. Amen.
