The church is important to God. The church is also known as the body of Christ, which he purchased with his blood.
Jesus Christ expects believers to carefully handle the affairs of his church, and ensure it fulfills the purpose for which it was founded.
God’s warnings to some early churches are highlighted in multiple places in the bible. (Read Revelation 2 and Revelation 3).
God’s warnings given in the Bible still apply to today’s churches.
Paul also admonished the church to maintain a godly position and remain relevant for God’s kingdom.
During his farewell speech to the elders at Ephesus, Paul declared a warning that was full of prophecies of the integrity battle that the end-time churches would have to fight.
Paul said,
“Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all men. For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God.
Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.
For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock” (Acts 20:26-29).
Common Problems That Our Churches Must Address
Christian body must always appreciate the principles of the bible; uphold them, and practice them.
Jesus Christ – The Redeemer purchased his church with his own blood through his death on the cross, so that all people can have access to God.
Christ established His church for the purpose of benefiting Christians (and any other who would subscribe to the religion).
The Church to Acknowledge Its Failures and Change for Good
Christian body must acknowledge the fact that we are falling short of God’s expectations on the subject of holiness and true love.
We (believers) must admit our failures, and come to the conclusion that we need to turn a new leaf to satisfy God.
Christians must make things right with God!
Holiness practices have become secondary for the present-day churches.
While the church has not publicly denied God’s principle of holiness, we have secretly done so!
Our churches have substituted important topics such as righteousness and holiness for some convenient subjects – Which are not limited to faith, healing, and prosperity.
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14 KJV).
Humility is the key. Jesus Christ washed the feet of his disciples to demonstrate humility, and he challenged them to do likewise. Jesus Christ said,
“You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you” (John 13:13-15 NIV).
We should not only faithfully serve God, but we should also provide for the needs of other people. Christians should help their fellow believers and seek for their welfare.
It is important that God’s saints work in unity, and they should understand that “whatever happens to one believer has happened to all believers!”
In other words, no Christian should be obsessed with his or her position (or personal integrity) and consider others to be inferiors.
While we cannot all be leaders, we are all called to serve one another – and we must do so with all humility and sincerity. Every Christian must honor the true symbol of Christianity – which is love!
Prayer to serve with Humility
Dear Jesus Christ, I receive your grace by faith to love other people genuinely.
I want to make positive contributions to other people’s lives.
Please help me to achieve this!
Empower me to support my fellow Christians whatever I can offer within my capacity.
Let me have a genuine interest in the success of others, and let me contribute my quotas of positive efforts into their lives.
Please, help me to represent you well here on earth so that you can be pleased and bless me.
Please let your love dwell richly in my heart from now on and always.
The church of Christ is becoming insensitive and losing ground to the camp of the enemy.
The church must wake up from its deep sleep to regain its honorable position.
Paul gave a farewell speech to elders of Ephesians’ church, and his words were full of prophecy and warning to the end-time churches. Paul said,
“Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all men.
Serious Lesson for The Church of Christ
Jesus Christ founded the church for the purpose of benefiting the Christian community and make them relevant to heaven.
Christ – the Redeemer purchased the church with his own blood through his death on the cross (and resurrection from the grave) so that all people can fellowship and meet God’s mandate of holiness, and qualify for heaven.
It is unfortunate that the church of Christ has digressed from its fundamental principles and has chosen unprofitable paths.
The same church that Jesus Christ started with a prototype of God’s true love has abandoned its traditions.
It is now losing its Christ-centered principles to some unbefitting explorations.
Our present-day churches have become politically conscious, and our spiritual affairs are now mostly moderated by the politicians.
A few church leaders that have chosen to pursue the clear gospel pattern that honor Jesus Christ has been alienated.
They are labeled as fanatics because they have refused the hellish status quo.
Call to Action
Jesus Christ has his arms wide open to receive our churches again.
He expects us to repent and return to his true love. Our religious establishments are called to repent and turn a new leaf so that Christ can bless us.
If we truly repent and turn to Christ, he will demonstrate his power in our churches again.
We shall witness miracles like the bible time, and have God’s name to be praised.
Christ will honor us if we choose to revisit our honorable Christian traditions that support bible views.
That is, our churches and different denominations must stop promoting promiscuity!
We must stop misrepresenting church setting as a political arena. We must also stop other unbefitting practices so that God can take all glory.
God will truly bless our church leaders that make him proud.
Jehovah will award his crown of righteousness for all Christians who faithfully serve and represent him well in this world.
True believers will be duly rewarded in heaven.
“Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done” (Revelation 22:12 NASB).
Prayer For Church Restorations
Dear Lord Jesus Christ, please redeem our churches again.
Please make our church body become relevant again and remain heavenly worthy!
Let our church leaders start to fear and obey your instructions. Also, help members of our different churches to take their heavenly mandates seriously.
Let the truth of your gospel be preached from our church altars; let true love be demonstrated among brethren. Save the church of Christ!
Please, establish your standard of righteousness in our churches so that unbelievers can be motivated to serve you.
Paul gave a farewell speech to elders of Ephesians’ church. (The body of Christ). His words were full of prophecy and warning. Paul said,
“Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all men.
The Purpose Of Church To the Body of Christ
Christ founded the church for the purpose of benefiting Christians. The Redeemer purchased the church with his own blood through his death on the cross, so that people can fellowship and meet God’s mandate of holiness.
However, the church has digressed from its original purpose.
The body that Christ started has gradually lost its Christ-centered traditions.
The church has become political, and its decisions are mostly moderated by politicians.
Meanwhile, a few church leaders that refuse to follow the status quo are labeled as fanatics.
Christ still expects his church to return to its true and original love. He will demonstrate his power in our churches again if we can come back to his true and keep Bible traditions.
God will reward any church that upholds his standard of righteousness in this promiscuous world!
Prayer on The Purpose Of Church To the Body of Christ
Dear Lord Jesus Christ, please redeem our churches again.
Please make your bloodshed on the cross become relevant again in our churches!
Let our church leaders start to fear and obey your instructions; let the church members take their heavenly mandates seriously.
Let the truth of your gospel be preached from our church altars; let true love be demonstrated among brethren.
Please, establish the standard of your righteousness in our churches so that people of this generation can have a good legacy to pass down to the coming ones.
When the clock finally stops working and the world comes to an end, please make our churches receive royal welcome in heaven as a body of saints adorned for her husband.
Please do this and many more! For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
