Christ volunteered himself in heaven to come to earth for the sake of saving humanity (Revelation 5:1-7). His sacrificial efforts include endearing Pharisees abuse and suffering of death on the cross. Christ has resurrected to give life to his believers. However, believers must ensure not to mistake their Christ-given salvation as a free gift without commitment. Christians must understand they have to pay some prices for their (free) salvation received through Jesus Christ. Some of the prices would involve enduring persecutions (Revelation 3:11-13). A good Christian must be ready to give all it takes to fully serve God and remain uncompromised. If remained steadfast, Christ will wipe off tears from the fellow’s face in heaven.
The Price of Salvation includes:
- Christians will suffer for the sake of their salvation
- Christians will be hated and be persecuted – Matthew 10:21-23
- (Persecution of saints also prophesied – Rev. 6:9-11)
- (Trials and imprisonment of saints – Rev. 2:10-11)
