It a time when the surrounding people are hurting and the question asked, “How can I help ease their pain?” James Taiwo takes the Bible and show the reader the man, Jesus, whom had the most compassion and how they can emulate it in their lives. The Pinnacle of Compassion: Ten Ways We Can Be More Like Jesus can be used in personal study, a study guide for a class, or in a spiritual book club. Though the author is Pentecostal, he sticks to the Bible teaching and the acts of Jesus.I found The Pinnacle of Compassion an interesting read. James Taiwo takes the time to outline acts of compassion and to encourage the reader to apply them to their own lives. The illustrated pictures show what the theme of each chapter will represent. I think people searching for answers on how to help those who are hurting people will find this helpful.
I read this book via a Mobi.file that I received from the author and the following is my honest opinion.Do you remember as a young child going to church on Sundays with your parents where you first learned about the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ? Do you remember how amazed you had become listening to the stories about him? If you can, as parents you’ve probably have learned that children enjoy learning things on their own, why not give your child a book which allows them to learn about Him or increase the knowledge they’ve already obtained. In this book, author, James Taiwo, gives his young readers a down-to-earth introduction into the Lord’s life from his miraculous birth to the beginning of His teachings. Each of the short story the book contains is easy to understand, and gives its readers an opportunity to reflect on how their lives are similar to those in the stories they’ve read. And in order for this to occur Mr. Taiwo includes four segments for each story in which his young readers are asked to:1.To reflect about they’ve just read. 2. What is the lessons that they’ve just learned. 3. Answer questions regarding the story. 4. Put what they’ve just learned into practice. For wanting Christian parents to allow their children to learn about the Lord on their own, I’ve given Mr. Taiwo the 5 STARS he deserves for spreading the Lord’s majesty into the hearts and mind of children. –
This is a wonderful and intriguing book. It tells the amazing stories of Jesus Christ which is followed by an interactive question and answer section to apply to your own life. I particularly appreciate the lessons the book highlights after each story/chapter as well as the question segment that is geared towards the readers own life experience. It makes you really think a lot about becoming a better person or finding ways in which you can help others and be the person that Jesus would want you to be. Overall it is definitely a positive book to inspire and teach people in becoming the person that Jesus created you to be.“
Children will enjoy reading this book that is designed just for them. It is an easy-to-read book that is enjoyable, filled with information, thought-provoking, and inspirational. Taiwo offers a version of some traditional tales about Jesus, including his early years, baptism, temptation, choosing his disciples, beginning his mission, healing people, and teaching his followers how to pray and about forgiveness. This is the first book of a series and will be continued with book two. –
This is a sweet and true book about the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ. The format is for a child and it is easy for a child to understand. This is a chapter book that takes the reader through some of the most important days in the early life of our Savior. It should be in every household that has children, along with the rest of the series. Thank you James for writing such wonderful books for children. What a great Christmas gift this would be under the tree.
