Jesus Christ washed the feet of his disciples to demonstrate humility, and he challenged them to do likewise. Jesus Christ said,<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cYou call me \u2018Teacher\u2019 and \u2018Lord,\u2019 and rightly so, for that is what I am. Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another\u2019s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=John+13%3A1-20&amp;version=NIV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">John 13:13-15 NIV<\/a>).<\/em><br \/>\n<div class=\"bc_rb_click_track bc_random_banner\" data-id=\"69\" data-url=\"https:\/\/jamestaiwo.com\/wp-admin\/admin-ajax.php?action=bc_rb_ads_click&nonce=da4dd78362\"><iframe width=\"815\" height=\"459\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ZgT5xSqsd9Q\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/eAkKbX\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jamestaiwo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/Buy-Now-Button.png\" width=\"200\" height=\"90\" \/><\/a><\/div><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong><em>Lesson of Humility<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/jamestaiwo.com\/love-serve-and-fear-god-with-humility\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-13628\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jamestaiwo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/love-1221455_640-232x300.png\" alt=\"humility\" width=\"232\" height=\"300\" \/>Believers in Jesus Christ are required to be humble and serve other people.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We should not only faithfully serve God, but we should also provide for the needs of other people. Christians should help their fellow believers and seek for their welfare.<\/p>\n<p>It is important that God\u2019s saints work in unity, and they should understand that \u201cwhatever happens to one believer has happened to all believers!\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/jamestaiwo.com\/blog\/pride-of-personal-achievement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">It is ungodly and un-scriptural for any Christian to look down on others as if he or she is more spiritual than them.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In other words, no Christian should be obsessed with his or her position (or personal integrity) and consider others to be inferiors.<\/p>\n<p>While we cannot all be leaders, we are all called to serve one another \u2013 and we must do so with all humility and sincerity. Every Christian must honor the true symbol of Christianity \u2013 which is love!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong><em>Prayer to serve with Humility<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-13626 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jamestaiwo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/love-1241735_640-300x298.jpg\" alt=\"humble prayer\" width=\"300\" height=\"298\" \/>Dear Jesus Christ, I receive your grace by faith to love other people genuinely.<\/p>\n<p>I want to make positive contributions to other people\u2019s lives.<\/p>\n<p>Please help me to achieve this!<\/p>\n<p>Empower me to support my fellow Christians whatever I can offer within my capacity.<\/p>\n<p>Let me have a genuine interest in the success of others, and let me contribute my quotas of positive efforts into their lives.<\/p>\n<p>Please, help me to represent you well here on earth so that you can be pleased and bless me.<\/p>\n<p>Please let your love dwell richly in my heart from now on and always.<\/p>\n<p>For in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.
