King Asa of Judah served God, and he prospered in his days. God rescued him from his enemies and ensured that he was not ashamed.
The king who had just about five hundred thousands soldiers was able to defeat 1.3 million soldiers that challenged him.
The scripture reported, “Then Zerah the Ethiopian came out against them with an army of a million men and three hundred chariots, and he came to Mareshah. So Asa went out against him, and they set the troops in battle array in the Valley of Zephathah at Mareshah.
And Asa cried out to the Lord his God, and said, “Lord, it is nothing for you to help, whether with many or with those who have no power; help us, O Lord our God, for we rest on you, and in your name we go against this multitude. O Lord, You are our God; do not let man prevail against you!” So the Lord struck the Ethiopians before Asa and Judah, and the Ethiopians fled” (2 Chronicles 14:9-12).
Lesson on God’s Protection
God will protect his children from all enemies’ assaults. Although the battle of life may be tough and the challenges may be fierce, but God who is faithful will keep his promises of protection for his children.
Jehovah will subdue any opposition that rise against them irrespective of its fierceness!
The Creator will not allow his children to suffer shame. He will ensure that every mountain and every valley are leveled for them. Jehovah will make his children see the light of another day in victory; he will make them laugh over every situation, and he will give them reasons to praise his name!
Prayer of Victory
Glory to God for he is my father and I am his son/daughter! I am secured in his loving arms. He will keep and save me from enemies’ assaults. Jehovah will keep watch over me and rescue my soul from wicked people. Since I am a child of God, there shall be no mountain so high and no valley so low, God will level them all for me!
I am confident that the promises of God over me are irrevocable! I am blessed in the morning and I am blessed in the evening. In fact, I am blessed throughout the days of my life.
The joy of the Lord is my strength and his testimony shall remain fresh in my mouth. Amen!
