Christians Should Inculcate The Habit Of Preaching The Gospel
The scripture requires Christians to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ always. God’s plan is for everyone to have a chance at salvation. It is written;
“I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom: 2 preach the word [as an official messenger]; be ready when the time is right and even when it is not [keep your sense of urgency, whether the opportunity seems favorable or unfavorable, whether convenient or inconvenient, whether welcome or unwelcome]; correct [those who err in doctrine or behavior], warn [those who sin], exhort and encourage [those who are growing toward spiritual maturity], with inexhaustible patience and [faithful] teaching. 3 For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine and accurate instruction [that challenges them with God’s truth]; but wanting to have their ears tickled [with something pleasing], they will accumulate for themselves [many] teachers [one after another, chosen] to satisfy their own desires and to support the errors they hold, 4 and will turn their ears away from the truth and will wander off into myths and man-made fictions [and will accept the unacceptable].” (2 Timothy 4:1-4 AMP).
Evangelism is a Spiritual Mandate for All Christians Worldwide
Gospel evangelization is not a choice but a must for all Christians! We are commanded to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to people of every tongue, nation, and tribe. We must preach the gospel of Jesus without reservations! As a Christian, you are required to spread God’s word no matter the situation. We must evangelize the gospel regardless of the religion, tradition, or other. No affiliation or title is required to preach the gospel.
God requires Christians to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ without hesitation.
We must inform people about Jesus’ gift of salvation, and punishment that will come on people who refuse to believe Him.
The scripture stated, “Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm on my holy hill. Let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming. It is close at hand”— (Joel 2:1 NIV)
Lesson for Christians to Preach Gospel
This present world will remain a temporal home for all people.
Everyone will migrate from here to a permanent destination.
However, not all people will end at the same place.
Some people will end up in heaven while others will end up in hell.
People who would be qualified for heaven are those who have believed in Jesus Christ and accepted Him as their Lord and Savior.
Unbelievers will end up in hell fire where there shall be everlasting torment (Matthew 25:41).
Hence, anyone who is yet to establish a good relationship with Jesus Christ should not hesitate before it is too late.
Since the danger of hell is imminent on the unbelievers, Christians are mandated to go out of their way to share their faith with unbelievers so that they can have a chance to gain salvation.
It is written,
I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word!
Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.
But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry (2 Timothy 4:1-5 NIV).
Prayer for God’s grace to Preach the Gospel
Dear God, please let your fire of evangelism burn in me to preach the gospel.
Empower me to ceaselessly proclaim your gospel so that unbelievers can come to the knowledge of your Son Jesus Christ. As I preach, let people respond.
Give them the grace to change their mind so that they can escape the punishment of hell, but be qualified for blessings of heaven. Please keep your people fit for your kingdom.
