Jesus Christ is the Bread of life. This fact is indisputable as believers witness his demonstrative power in their daily lives.
However, believers must still understand the need to deeply study their Bible to fully understand what the Bread of life actually means.
Also, the scenario of Jesus’ declaration of Bread of Life must not be ignored.
“Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty” (John 6:35 NIV)
While at the heat of an intensive debate with the Pharisees, Christ maintained his stand with the statement, “I am the Bread of Life (that satisfy every human hunger).”
The Pharisees – (Jesus’ critics) felt insulted about his statement “I am the Bread of Life,” because they believed he was some sort of a minor teacher who still needed to be taught.
The Pharisees had a formal religious education, but Jesus did not. Also, most of the Pharisees were older in age and presumed to have a better life experience than Jesus.
The Pharisees believed Jesus was not properly informed to preach an adequate sermon about God’s kingdom. Besides, the dogmatic sect believed Jesus’ teaching cast insulting shadow on their cherished Judaism.
Jesus Christ the Son of God preached an uncomfortable sermon to his critics. He chose to do things differently by proclaiming the undiluted word of God.
To the Pharisees, Jesus’ teaching was horrible, confusing, and inappropriate. They would have preferred he followed their pattern and preach a strict and rigid rules of Judaism.
Unfortunately, Christ rebelled against their ungodly approach.
Jesus Christ grew in popularity with time. He could do many things that his rivals would not attempt. His sermons were full of grace and salvation.
Jesus’ persistence of declaring himself as the Bread of Life wasn’t some icing on the cake for his critics, but petrol on the burning fire.
To make things worse for the enemies, Jesus performed many miracles to validate his ministry.
The Pharisees’ reactions to Jesus’ declaration of himself as the Bread of Life weren’t palatable!
They were very jealous of him, and they secretly vouch to do everything within their power to halt his ministry and silence him forever.
Perhaps someone declared among the Pharisees, “For how long are we going to allow this heresy? How on earth can we allow this illiterate to keep teaching people the scriptures? Let’s fabricate something to keep his mouth shut!”
Would the anti-gospel people be able to completely shut off the light of God? Very much impossible!
Jesus Insisted, I am the Bread of Life
Jesus had no time for his critics because he knew his mission was not to pay attention to those who would slow him down.
Jesus preached more gospel!
Whether the opponents would appreciate his ministry or not, Christ kept on preaching about God’s kingdom, and he set his eyes on the goal of saving humanity.
The scripture gave the account of how the Pharisees attempted to ridicule Jesus with the aim of imposing a psychological attack to probably slow him down or silence him.
“The Jews then complained about Him, because He said, “I am the bread which came down from heaven.” And they said, “Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How is it then that He says, ‘I have come down from heaven’?” Jesus therefore answered and said to them, “Do not murmur among yourselves. No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.
It is written in the prophets, ‘And they shall all be taught by God.’ Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me. Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from God; He has seen the Father. Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in me has everlasting life. I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead.
This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is my flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world” (John 6:41-51 NKV).
Jesus – The Bread of Life Was Destined to Win!
Jesus Christ – The light of God – was born to shine. He would shine; he would reign, and his dominion would last eternally!
“For unto us a Child is born, Unto us, a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6).
The enemies plotted against Jesus Christ to arrest and kill him. They thought their mission was accomplished at the point of his death, but the direct opposite was the case.
Jesus resurrected! He rose from the grave on the third day that his body was laid to rest.
The true meaning of Jesus’ declaration “I am the Bread of Life” fully manifested at the time of his resurrection and ascension to heaven.
Christ dominated his competing rivals by resurrecting from the grave. At the same time, he earned the victory for his followers.
Everyone who believes in Jesus Christ has access to his gift of eternal life.
Christ the Bread of life did it all for people who believe and faithfully serve him. He gave them eternal life.
Their portions will permanently remain with him in his kingdom.
Anyone who confesses Jesus Christ as his or her personal Lord and Savior will automatically receive the Bread of Life that satisfies every spiritual hunger.
Such a person will also have an opportunity to call heaven his or her permanent home.

Jesus Christ announced to all people that his salvation offer is the only determining factor for anyone to enter into the kingdom of God.
A person who rejects Jesus’ offer of salvation will not have a part in the kingdom of God. Jesus said,
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears my word and believes in Him who sent me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live. For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself, and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man” (John 5:24-26).
Lesson on Jesus’ Offer of Salvation
The Lord’s Day of Judgment shall surely come for all people to experience.
Both dead and the living shall face God’s judicial panel; the Creator will send unrepentant sinners to hell fire, but he will send the repentant sinners to heaven.
Unrepentant sinners are the people (whether dead or alive) who have refused to declare Jesus Christ as the Son of God and have also refused to accept him as their personal Lord and Savior.
Prayer of Salvation and Repentance
Dear Jesus Christ, I do not want to go to hell fire, but I want to go to heaven.
Therefore, I confess that you are the Son of God who has died for the sin of the whole world.
I accept you, Jesus Christ, as my personal Lord and Savior; I repent from my sins, and I will faithfully serve you from now on, and throughout the days of my life.
So help me God! Amen.

Jesus Christ proved himself as the living water to the world.
In the scripture, a woman met the Messiah and was surprised to hear him declaring:
“If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water” (John 4:10 NIV).
While the woman appeared to be confused, Jesus explained further to say, “Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst.
Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life” (John 4:13-14).
Lesson from The Living Water
Jesus Christ is the living water that comes from God.
Anyone who drinks from the water shall not thirst again! The effect of Jesus’ power surpasses quenching any physical thirst.
In fact, he will bless his believers with everlasting life and perfect peace in heaven – forever!
However, anyone who rejects the salvation offer of Jesus Christ would be unqualified to enter heaven, such person will have his/her or place in hell fire – where there shall be everlasting torments.
Prayer to Jesus – The Living Water
Dear Jesus Christ, I want to go to heaven, I do not want to go to hell fire.
I confess you as Lord and I accept you as my Personal Savior. As from today,
I yield my complete life to you, and I promise to serve you throughout the days of my life.
For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.

Adam lost the salvation but thank God for Jesus Christ who regained it back. God created all things by himself. He called all things into existence – through his divine authority. The scripture said,
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light” (Genesis 1:1-3 NKJV).
Lesson On The Salvation of Jesus Christ
God is the father of all creations. All things in existence listen to him, and they obey his instructions. However, God shared the same authority with Adam and Eve (the first man and first woman) immediately after creation.
Unfortunately, Adam and Eve lost their golden opportunity due to sin – the salvation meant for humankind. However, Jesus Christ regains the same opportunity and he gives the privilege to his followers.
Therefore, anyone who believes in Jesus Christ has dominion over all situations.
All believers are empowered to rule over their world. All children of God retain the right to command and possess their goodness in the land of the living. Hallelujah!
Prayer of Salvation and Victory
In the name of Jesus Christ, I regain my victory over Satan. Since I am a child of God, I command all situations to work to my advantage.
I take dominion over both visible and invisible situations, and I command all knees to bow in the name of Jesus Christ.
I confidently possess the gates of my enemies, and I reclaim all my lost opportunities in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
