THE SENSE OF HIS PRESENCE – Shownote
(Psalm 23)
Examples of people who recognized the presence of God in their lives
Children of God must have confidence in God and know that he is with them at all times. Apostle Paul declared, “If God be for us who can be against us?” Romans 8:31
History has repeatedly made it clear that God is ever faithful to deliver those who trust in him. He defended his children during bible time, and he is still doing the same today!
God of the universe that Christians serve is faithful to help us triumph during challenges.
Christians are God’s children; we occupy a special place in his heart, and he will benefit us with his limitless provision and protection.
It is important that we (believers) trust God when we are at the point of need. Why? God is an Omnipotent one – His strength has no limit!
During bible time, Jehovah performed all kinds of miracle to protect and provide for his children. God’s supernatural power raised the death; parted the sea, and rained manna from heaven. God also rained stones to defend his children in the past!
A special example of how God delivered his children from trouble can be found in the 2 Chronicle 20. God’s children were oppressed and surrounded by enemies that outnumbered them.
The enemies intended to loath the land of Judah and kill God’s people. However, Jehovah turned the table against the enemies.
King Jehoshaphat of Judah called on God for his defense. He cried out to God in prayer and trusted him for help.
The king prayed,
“O our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You” (2 Chronicles 20:12).
God responded to Jehoshaphat’s prayer with a promise to deliver his land from the oppressors. Jehoshaphat trusted God and made a decision to start praising God immediately.
King Jehoshaphat demonstrated his confidence in God!
As King Jehoshaphat trusted God for his promise, he organized people to praise God. His action impressed God who immediately insinuated confusion in the camp of his enemies. The enemies began to kill each other until no one remain standing. Bible reported,
“Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated. For the people of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir to utterly kill and destroy them. And when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, they helped to destroy one another” (2 Chronicles 20:22-23).
God’s Strength Is Ever Active Till Date
The living God that Christians serve has undiminished strength. God can go to any extent to care for his people. Jehovah who is an Omniscient one will help whoever reserves his complete trust in him!
A person’s attitude towards God will dictate the amount of breakthrough he will receive from him. That is, the more a person trusts God, the more his blessing would be. Therefore anyone who intends to receive full benefit should question himself (or herself) whether he deeply trust God or not.
Do you genuinely and deeply trust God during your difficult moment?
To enjoy God’s defense and provisions, your heart must fully rest on God! You must have confidence that he won’t disappoint you when you need his assistance.
God dealt with King Pharaoh who oppressed his children (Exodus 11-15). The same God will deal with whoever raises a finger against you – The beloveth of the Lord!.
Be assured of God’s help if you are a Christian and are currently passing through a challenging moment. God’s help is on the way for you!” You will soon laugh and praise God for his deliverance.
Trust God and wait for his salvation! He will fulfill his promises so that you can praise his name.
Dear God, I am grateful that you are alive and ever active to defend your children from their troubles! I know you care and you will solve my problems.
Please increase my faith so that I can have confidence and trust you! As I trust you, let my trial turn to a testimony, and let me celebrate my victory to the glory of your name. For in the name of Jesus Christ I have prayed. Amen.
