Christians must be watchful of false teachers that camouflage to exploit people for their selfish gains. Some teachers and teachings that are not consistent with bible are out there, and believers must be watchful not to become their victims. Apostle Paul had a similar warning for Galatians’ church when he stated,
“I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:6-9).
Christian To Stay Away From False Teachers
Christians must reject erratic and misleading teachings that lack bases in the scriptures. An heavenly bound believer must not just believe anything that a teacher presents to him or her without establishing facts. Nothing is more factual than the bible, and it remains the basic operation manual for all Christians. Therefore, all Christians must cross-reference whatever they are taught with the bible; a teaching that lacks basis in the bible must be outrightly rejected!
Meanwhile, it is important that Christians pray and ask for Holy Spirit interpretations over all matters. The Spirit of God will shed light on all subjects, and he will enlighten our minds to understand the truth. Also, the Holy Spirit of God will empower us to comply with the scripture.
Prayer To Be Consistent With God
Dear God, please help me to consistently study bible and listen to leadership of the Holy Spirit. Do not let me be lazy in studying your word. Also, let me prayerfully consider every teaching that is presented to me, and give me grace to reject false teachings. Enable me to accept and celebrate all truth that will liberate me from sin, and make me heavenly bound. Let your word and leadership of the Holy Spirit prosper me now, and always. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
Crucify him; crucify him, shouted the Pharisees who wanted Jesus dead by all means. The enemies got their wish, but it became my blessing!
Jesus Christ shed his blood on the Cross of Calvary for humanity. He suffered and languished in pain from his persecutors who beat him mercilessly and squeezed the crown of thorns on his head. An already weaken Son of God was forced to carry his own cross as mob chanted “crucify him” to Roman soldiers.
“Crucify him, crucify him” the mob were shouting. They wanted Jesus dead by all means. The authority (in collaboration with the Pharisees) dragged Jesus to Golgotha where they nailed his arms and feet on the cross. Hammers pounded the nails as they were driven into his arms and feet; he cried in pain but no one was ready to help. The enemies laughed and mocked him as he groaned in pain!
Jesus’ enemies were having a field day as they hung the body of Jesus on the cross and hammered the crown of thorns to his head. They even took their time to post on Jesus’ cross to showcase the allegation they brought against him. The signage was “Hinri” meaning The self-proclaimed “King of Jews.”
Blood run all over Jesus’ body as he was groaning in excruciating pain.
Not just the enemies mocked Jesus Christ, the onlookers and passersby did the same. Even one of the two thieves nailed to the cross took a cheap shot at Jesus stating, “If you are the Son of God, save yourself, and save us also.” (Luke 23:37).
No one sympathized with Jesus Christ, except a few mothers and some men of integrity. Perhaps those few ones murmured, “This is an act of injustice; this man doesn’t deserve this kind of treatment!” However, what influence have the sympathizers gotten? They were powerless by all standards!
Jesus Shed His Blood to Save Mankind!
Jesus Christ languished in excruciating pain on the cross. Blood flowed from wounds sustained from beatings and crown of thorns hammered to his head. Meanwhile a soldier doubled his punishment as he gave him vinegar to drink when he lamented for water. Perhaps the same soldier tossed spear into his side as water and blood gushed out from his side!
However, the experience of Christ from his enemies is a prophecy in fulfillment. Long before he was born, Isaiah had prophesied about him,
“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:4-5 KJV).
O that the blood of Jesus Christ may never be in vain over my life!
The blood washes sins away! He cleanses people’s lives from their past mistakes and make them fit for God’s kingdom. Believers receive God’s forgiveness via the blood of Jesus Christ! That is, someone who confesses his sins and prays in the name of Jesus will receive God’s forgiveness.
The blood of Jesus Christ heal all kinds of diseases and sickness. The power of God transpires from the blood of Jesus Christ to perform miracles in the lives of people who believe! That is, anyone who anchors his faith in the resurrection power of Jesus Christ and also trust in his blood will experience God’s supernatural power of healing and deliverance.
The blood of Jesus Christ gives Christians upper hands over the power of darkness! Since no activity of men could prevent Jesus Christ from resurrection, whoever anchors his faith in the same Jesus will have similar experience. No power of man or of Satan will be able to prevail over him!
The Resurrection Power of Jesus and Its Benefits…Christians have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ to live above Satan’s trials and temptations. Also, no persecution of the enemy can prevail over us since the power consist in Jesus’ resurrection has earn us upper arms…
Christians Are Born To Rule Over Satan via Resurrection Power!
There are much benefits consisted in the resurrection of Jesus Christ; Christians must make a good use of the benefits. People who were motivated by Satan plotted against Jesus. They crucified him on the cross hoping their exercise would end his life and ministry. However, the enemies soon realized they have lost the battle since Jesus resurrected on the third day!
No Christian should ever allow Satan to manipulate him (or her) to believe he lives under his control. Satan is not in control, Christians are in control. The enemy is the slave, and we are his master since Christ has earned us victory through his death and resurrection.
The Holy Spirit of God has also automatically elevated believers above Satan and his cohorts!
The Bible has rightly declared, “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it” (John 1:5 NIV). Bible also stated, “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us” (Romans 8:37 NKJV).
Jesus Christ has released the Holy Spirit to benefit Christians prior to his ascension to heaven. He said to his disciples,
“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover” (Mark 16:17-18 KJV).
Holy Spirit Turns Christians to Champions
Children of God must allow the Holy Spirit to rule us to live overcomer’s lives on earth. We must give the Spirit of God chance to rule us into all victory as we daily pray, worship, and study the word of God.
God requires Christians to preach gospel of Jesus Christ without hesitation.
We must inform people about Jesus’ gift of salvation, and punishment that will come on people who refuse to believe Him.
The scripture stated, “Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm on my holy hill. Let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming. It is close at hand”— (Joel 2:1 NIV)
Lesson for Christians to Preach Gospel
This present world will remain a temporal home for all people.
Everyone will migrate from here to a permanent destination.
However, not all people will end at the same place.
Some people will end up in heaven while others will end up in hell.
People who would be qualified for heaven are those who have believed in Jesus Christ and accepted Him as their Lord and Savior.
Unbelievers will end up in hell fire where there shall be everlasting torment (Matthew 25:41).
Hence, anyone who is yet to establish a good relationship with Jesus Christ should not hesitate before it is too late.
Since the danger of hell is imminent on the unbelievers, Christians are mandated to go out of their way to share their faith with unbelievers so that they can have chance to gain salvation.
I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word!
Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.
But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry (2 Timothy 4:1-5 NIV).
Prayer for God’s grace to Preach the Gospel
Dear God, please let your fire of evangelism burn in me to preach gospel.
Empower me to ceaselessly proclaim your gospel so that unbelievers can come to the knowledge of your Son Jesus Christ. As I preach, let people respond.
Give them the grace to change their mind so that they can escape punishment of hell, but be qualified for blessings of heaven. Please keep your people fit for your kingdom.
The fact about God remains that he will keep his sincere friendship with us – Even when any earthly friend has deserted us.
Learn from David in the Bible
Crisis forced him to recognize his true friends.
David who had wrongly assumed that all people loved him got to know the reality of life when his own son deposed him and his trusted friends followed suit.
David, while escaping from his son Absalom got to know the true color of a friend called Shimei who summoned courage to curse him to his face, and cast both stone and dust at him to customarily express his dissatisfaction to his government.
The scripture reported, “Now when King David came to Bahurim, there was a man from the family of the house of Saul, whose name was Shimei the son of Gera, coming from there.
He came out, cursing continuously as he came. And he threw stones at David and at all the servants of King David. And all the people and all the mighty men were on his right hand and on his left.
Also Shimei said thus when he cursed: “Come out! Come out! You bloodthirsty man, you rogue! The Lord has brought upon you all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose place you have reigned; and the Lord has delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom your son. So now you are caught in your own evil, because you are a bloodthirsty man!” (2 Samuel 16:5-8). Although Shimei later apologized, but the lesson is already learned! (2 Samuel 19,20; 2 Samuel 19:18-20).
Learn Lesson from Affliction
Life is all about learning, and children of God must attempt to learn from every situation that we may be experiencing.
God does not afflict anyone, but he sometimes allows his children to pass through difficult moments so that we can learn some necessary lessons that we would have preferred to avoid, but which are necessary for our growth and success.
God teaches lessons in afflictions, and he uses uncomfortable situations to stiffen our loose ends for the purpose of blessing us, and glorifying his name in our lives.
Christians must learn how to trust God during affliction period. We must learn how to interpret God’s voice through our afflictions, and we must learn how to listen to his voice and obey it!
Depending on any given situation, we may not necessarily need to seek for a quick breakthrough until we have learned enough lessons that God desires.
No doubt that God will turn our afflictions to triumph after we have learned and appropriately responded to his teachings.
God will turn our trying moments to our advancements. Our lives would become better, and his name will be glorified.
The good news is here! Jesus Christ will return to rapture his followers to heaven.
(Rapture means transportation of believers to heaven at the second coming of Jesus Christ).
The experience will occur to people who believe in Jesus Christ – whether dead or alive.
The scripture shed light on what the rapture experience be as written,
“Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.
For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory” (1 Corinthians 15:50-55).
Lesson on God’s Good News for Christians
It is a welcoming news for us – Christ believers – to hear that this poor earth is not our final destination.
It is very important for anyone who intends to have rapture experience to accept Jesus Christa as the Son of God, and confess him as his/her Lord and personal Savior.
Salvation of soul through Jesus Christ is relevant to rapture as the scripture declares:
“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:9-10 NKJV).
Prayer of Confession
Dear Jesus Christ, I believe that you are the Son of God who died for sinners.
In deed you are the good news for the world.
You died on the cross for my sins and resurrected on the third day to give me gift of eternal life. Therefore, I believe that you are the savior.
I confess you as my Lord, and I accept you as my personal Savior.
I confess my sins and I forsake them.
I ask for your grace to remain faithful to you, and I will serve you throughout the days of my life.
Please write my name in the book of life. For in the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.
The second coming of Jesus Christ is also known as Rapture, and it is not a question of “what if,” but a question of “when it will happen.”
The rapture of saints is imminent.
It will surely occur as the scripture foretold.
“Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope.
For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.
And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words” (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).
Jesus Christ asked his disciples to diligently tarry for his second coming and said,
“Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them. And if he should come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them also, blessed are those servants.
But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect” (Luke 12:37-40).
What Qualifies A Person For Rapture?
Rapture is imminent.
Christ will soon come, and his coming may be sooner than later. People who considered themselves as followers of Jesus Christ – that is, Christians should remain steadfast in their commitments to their Lord because their basis of faith will be evaluated before they can be qualified.
Christians who are courageous to steadfastly serve Christ and wait for the Messiah’s second coming will be ultimately rewarded.
Christ – the Savior – will use the standard of the bible to either accept or reject anyone from his Father’s kingdom.
His main qualifying criteria is a person’s choice of deity.
That is, Jesus will only transport people who have confessed their faith in him to heaven.
Those people who have personally identified themselves with him as their personal Lord and Savior will qualify. As the scripture stated,
“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved” (Romans 10:9-10 NLT).
Not just a confession of faith that saves a person, but the lifestyle that he or she has lived on earth that will determine if he/she will qualify for heaven or not.
Believers who have confessed Jesus Christ as Lord and remain consistent in their faith by keeping his testimony will be regarded as “Just” and be counted worthy to inherit the kingdom of God.
It is stated,
“I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory” (1 Corinthians 15:50-54 NIV)
If Rapture Is Real, Then What Stake Does It Offer Christians?
The reward of Christian faithfulness is far reaching.
Christ will rapture his saints and call them home from the trouble and trauma of the world.
The Savior will wipe off tears of affliction and persecution from the faces of his saints.
He will also award them his gift of imperishable eternal crown of glory.
Perhaps the best of all gifts the saints will receive in heaven is the of gift of eternal life of peace (tranquility).
Believers will be permanently stationed with God in heaven to rejoice in his loving arms. Sin and pain won’t be mentioned in heaven.
Sickness will be found wanting there also!
All that saints of God will enjoy in heaven is everlasting life of perfect peace and joy.
Not much of some anticipated benefits that should excite anyone about qualifying for rapture, but the actual tasks that are required.
Christians are saved by grace, but they must be fully committed and be serious with their faith and practices to qualify for God’s well advertised kingdom.
To actually qualify for God’s kingdom, believers must daily make conscious efforts to serve God with faithfulness.
The return of Jesus Christ to the world is imminent.
He will return to rapture his saints to his kingdom. Christ – the Savior warned his disciples to stay focus and remain fit since they will be tempted to slumber in faith.
Jesus Christ said,
“But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man” (Luke 21:34-36 NKJV).
Lesson on Rapture
The world system is programmed to get people occupy with mundane things that can distract them from faithfully serving God.
There are challenges here and there; bills must be paid, and other pressuring circumstances would keep featuring.
