Jesus Silenced Enemies: Be Watchful and Sensitive

Jesus Silenced Enemies: Be Watchful and Sensitive

The Pharisees and Sadducee surrounded Jesus Christ-like bees seeking every opportunity to bite their host.

The religious enemies set traps and tested Jesus on many grounds with the hope that he might stumble in his speech so that they can arrest and kill Him.

Meanwhile, Jesus was sensitive to recognize the presence of his enemies, and He put them in the right place! When the Pharisees asked a tricky question about the resurrection, Jesus referred them to scripture that everyone in the society respected – and the foes became silent (Luke 20:27-39).

However, Jesus warned his disciples to be watchful of hypocrites who would be envious of their success and seek their downfall. Jesus said,

“Beware of the scribes, who desire to go around in long robes, love greetings in the marketplaces, the best seats in the synagogues, and the best places at feasts, who devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers.

These will receive greater condemnation” (Luke 20:46-47 NKJV).

Lesson About Christian Watchfulness

binoculars-1464304-1279x933We Christians are God’s children, and we are lights that are surrounded by people who celebrate the works of darkness; therefore we must be careful!

Our works and godly lifestyles often irritate worldly people, and they would tend to react to whatever we do.

We should be sensitive not to allow evildoers to drag us into their evil practices.

We should not seek world acceptance and sin against God. We Christians must maintain our godly standards and remain heavenly bound.

God will definitely empower us to overcome our adversaries, and he will reward us for every job well done.

Prayer About Christian Watchfulness

weaponDear God, please help me to be wise and be sensitive so that I will not become a victim of wicked people. Help me to abstain from people who may influence me to sin against you.

Empower me to remain steadfast in the faith, and let me keep my godly testimony unto the end so that I can be blessed immensely in heaven.

For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.

Christians to Walk in Dignity before God Always

Christians to Walk in Dignity before God Always

Christians are required to have dignity and walk uprightly in a manner that glorifies God always.

Believers must ensure that our activities honor God at all times!

The scripture emphasized,

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31 NIV).

Christians Must Understand that Dignity Matters to God

order-1586513_640Believers must understand the importance of dignity, and how it matters to God.

We must not misunderstand the concept of liberty that Christianity offers.

That is, we must live in holiness before God.

The true concept of Christianity is the salvation of grace offered by Jesus Christ.

We must enjoy the grace without compulsion.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8 KJV).

Truly, the Christian religion is not burdensome since it does not impose a strict rule on anyone.

However, It is important that Christians understand the liberty of worship that the religion offers – Which must not be abused.

Christians must honestly celebrate our salvation of grace that Christ offers, but not abuse it.

We must not assume that all things are acceptable to God by practicing the religion of Christianity anyhow.

“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive” (1 Corinthians 10:23).

firmnessChristianity requires firmness; every Christian is expected to live a bible-principled lifestyle.

Take Caution with Your Christian Faith

Believers must understand that the liberty of faith that we have received through Jesus Christ does not allow us to act against God’s commandments.

Religion requires that we comply with the laws of God!

overcomer

Whatever anyone calls liberty of the spirit, as Christianity offers, must be weighed with the standard of the bible.

Such belief or exercise must comply with the bible standard.

Christians must not celebrate any notion, practice, belief, or an exercise that is discredited in the bible.

A heavenly bound Christian must not engage in practices that the bible opposed.

Our society may accept them but we must not entertain them.

For example, a Christian must understand that homosexuality is unacceptable to God according to the Bible

“For this cause, God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another;

men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient” (Romans 1:26-28 KJV).

In addition, immoral activities such as fornication and adultery compromise God’s standard of holiness, and Christian must not engage in them.

simpleUnderstand Christianity in a Simple Language

    • A Christian must not entertain whatever practices contradict bible standards.

    • Ungodly practices are sinful and punishable by God.

    • Believers must reject any practice that God has rejected!

  • Holiness has no substitute with God

prayerPrayer for God’s Grace to Walk in Dignity of Scripture

O dear God please give me the grace to walk in dignity before you always.

Enhance me with an ability to resist temptations of sin.

Give me a steadfast heart to be firm and live a Christian-principled lifestyle.

Please help and guide me with your Holy Spirit to accurately walk before you throughout the days of my life, so that I can qualify for your eternal kingdom.

For in the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.

PROS AND CONS OF DAUGHTERS OF ZION

PROS AND CONS OF DAUGHTERS OF ZION

bible devotion

The term Daughters of Zion was used in multiple places in the bible; it symbolizes the beauty and pride of Israel.

The term is used whenever God wanted to honor his children.

However due to the sin of Israelites, God downplayed the importance of “Daughters of Zion.”

He turned it to an entity that was worthy of his severe punishment.

One of the negative connotation attached to Daughter of Zion is as stated,

Moreover the Lord says: “Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, And walk with outstretched necks And wanton eyes, Walking and mincing as they go, Making a jingling with their feet, Therefore the Lord will strike with a scab The crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, And the Lord will uncover their secret parts” (Isaiah 3:16-17).

Daughters of Zion

Lesson on Daughters of Zion

Christians are Daughters of Zion; we the Lord’s apple eyes, and we must make God proud in our lives.

The Creator will go any extent to defend his interest in our lives if we can make him proud.

It is unfortunate to note that Jehovah will not turn a blind eye on a Christian who dishonor him.

Jehovah will not bless anyone who persists in sin, since he is just and faithful.

The Creator requires his children to represent him well so that he can bless them.

For believers to enjoy God’s optimum blessing and protection of God, we must comply with his laws.

Holiness is God’s standard, and all his children are required to be holy in order to be in good term with him.

Prayer of Grace to be Worthy in His Presence

Dear God, I understand that sin can create a barrier between us; therefore, I am determined to live holy life before you so that you can be proud of me.

Please help me to work consistently with the bible, so that you can bless me!

Help me to represent you well on earth so that the term Daughter of Zion can suit me well to receive your blessing in this life, and in heaven also.

For in the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.
