The term “Daughters of Zion” was used on many occasions to refer to the beauty and pride of Israel; however, in some instances, God down tune importance of “Daughters of Zion” into a piece of entity worthy of severe punishment due to Israelites’ sins.
One of the instances is highlighted, “Moreover the Lord says: “Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, And walk with outstretched necks And wanton eyes, Walking and mincing as they go, Making a jingling with their feet, Therefore the Lord will strike with a scab The crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, And the Lord will uncover their secret parts” (Isaiah 3:16-17).
Lesson on God frowns at Sin and embraces Holiness
God will not turn a blind eye on any Christian who goes against His will.
Jesus Christ appointed his disciples for specific ministerial activities. (He also sent them to the field to evangelize his gospel, and they came back with remarkable testimonies! The disciples brought good news and glorified God). The scripture reported
“And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting” (Ephesians 4:11-14 NKJV).
Lesson on the Use of Gifts to Share Gospel
Christians are given grace with a diversity of gifts to prosper for the kingdom of God. Meanwhile, despite a variety of gifts and ministries that exist in Christendom, believers must still consider evangelism as a prime task, and we must do it effectively.
We must share our faith with other people, and motivate them to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. No Christian should underestimate the importance of evangelism since it is very important to God. In fact, it is written,
I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom:preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. (2 Timothy 4:1-5 ESV)
Gospel propagation (evangelism) is so much important to God to the extent that he had to send his only begotten Son to the world for it. His Son (Jesus) must preach and save people for his kingdom. Christ preached, and Christians must preach too! The more we preach the gospel, the more people will come to God’s kingdom – and Satan’s kingdom will become depopulated at the same time. Also, as we preach the gospel, God will be happy to decorate our lives with beautiful benefits.
Prayer for Grace to Use Gifts for Gospel Sharing
Dear God, I want to preach your gospel, please teach me how to do so. Give me the confidence to share your good news with unbelievers so that they can become saved too. Anoint me to freely extend the light of your gospel to both the reached and unreached parts of the world.
Please let your light shine through me so that many people can become saved and qualify for your kingdom. Also, please keep me fit so that I can be counted among people that will meet and rejoice with you on the last day. For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.
