God Frowns at Sin and Embraces Holiness

God Frowns at Sin and Embraces Holiness

The term “Daughters of Zion” was used on many occasions to refer to the beauty and pride of Israel; however, in some instances, God down tune importance of “Daughters of Zion” into a piece of entity worthy of severe punishment due to Israelites’ sins.

One of the instances is highlighted, “Moreover the Lord says: “Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, And walk with outstretched necks And wanton eyes, Walking and mincing as they go, Making a jingling with their feet, Therefore the Lord will strike with a scab The crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, And the Lord will uncover their secret parts” (Isaiah 3:16-17).

Lesson on God frowns at Sin and embraces Holiness

assassination-attempt-268910_640God will not turn a blind eye on any Christian who goes against His will.

He can not bless anyone who persists in sin! Since he is just and faithful, the Creator cannot exonerate any of his children from sin – unless the fellow repent.

For any Christian to enjoy optimum blessing and protection of God, he (or she) must ensure that he complies with God’s laws.

Holiness is God’s standard, and all his children are required to be holy in order to be in good terms with him.

Prayer to frown at Sin and embrace Holiness like God

Praying hands over open bibleDear God, I understand that sin can create a barrier between you and I; therefore, I am determined to run from sin.

I ask for your grace to live a holy and acceptable life before you so that I can qualify for your blessings.

Please bless me on earth, and also count me worthy to receive your heavenly blessings.

Please let your grace be sufficient for me so that I can live a satisfying life before you always.

For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.

Holiness Preaching of Jesus Christ

Holiness Preaching of Jesus Christ

Holiness – The Fundamental Teaching of Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ, unlike other teachers of his time, taught fundamental truth and God’s principles that could provoke any audience into a protest.

He analyzed different controversial topics and simplified God’s words for people to have better understanding of God’s requirement of holiness.

For example, Jesus taught people and said:

    1. Bless those who curse you (Luke 6:28)

    1. Give to everyone who asks you something (Luke 6:30)

    1. Do as you want other people to do to you (Luke 6:31)

    1. Love your enemies (Luke 6:35)

    1. Do not judge others (Luke 6:37)

  1. Give abundant charity to other people (Luke 6:38)

Lesson on Holiness

holinessChristians must continuously follow the principles of Jesus Christ by teaching people the basic facts of God’s kingdom.

Some truth will be uncomfortable and hurtful, yet people need to hear them so that they can understand God’s requirements for his kingdom, and thereby comply with them.

However, we (believers) must ensure to preach what we practice and also lead by examples to motivate people into godliness.

Meanwhile, the basis of speaking the truth of God’s kingdom must not be based on anyone’s holiness standard.

That is, whether a Christian still struggles to comply with God’s laws in one area of his/her life or not, he/she is still required to preach God’s truth at all times – without any dilution or over-simplicity.

God’s righteous standard remains irrevocable; therefore, believers have to preach it always.

We must learn from Jesus whose preaching throughout the scripture laid emphasis on holiness – as the only requirement that qualifies anyone for God’s kingdom.

Christ even stated,

“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” (Matthew 6:33).

In addition, for any Christian to adequately comply with God’s righteous standard and preach it, he/she must have been empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Without him (Holy Spirit) in control, it is absolutely impossible for anyone to please God.

The Spirit will encourage us to love God and our neighbors well.

He will also help us to live by example and preach undiluted word of God.

Prayer of Holiness

Dear Jesus Christ, please help me to be an honest Christian who will live according to the scripture and also preached the truth of your kingdom.

Empower me with your Holy Spirit to live holy and acceptable life before you; let your divine Spirit give me a contrite heart “To talk the talk and walk the walk” for the purpose of benefitting your kingdom.

When my earthly race is over, please count me worthy in your eternal kingdom to rejoice in your presence forever!

For in the name of Jesus Christ I make my requests. Amen.

A Decision to Serve God in Holiness Every Time

A Decision to Serve God in Holiness Every Time

Holiness has always been God’s priority. Children of Israel sinned repeatedly against him with their unholy characters to the extent that they pressured him to allow terrible situations to befall them.

Isaiah, the mouthpiece of God prophesied,

“Here is a message about the Valley of Vision: What is the reason that all of you go up to the rooftops? The noisy city is full of raucous sounds; the town is filled with revelry. Your slain were not cut down by the sword;they did not die in battle.

All your leaders ran away together— they fled to a distant place; all your refugees were captured together—they were captured without a single arrow being shot.

So I say: “Don’t look at me! I am weeping bitterly. Don’t try to console me concerning the destruction of my defenseless people.” For the sovereign master, the Lord who commands armies, has planned a day of panic, defeat, and confusion. In the Valley of Vision people shout and cry out to the hill.” (Isaiah 22:1-5 NET).

Lesson on A Decision to Serve God in Holiness

Sin is a terrible thing that has ever happened to mankind.

It caused the first man and first woman to fall from grace; it continues to build walls of separation between humanity and God.

Sin makes it difficult for God to perform his wonders in the lives of his people.

Since God is holy, he cannot deal with sin. Meanwhile, Satan, the enemy of righteousness continues to pester humans with all sorts of sinful activities that can irritate God.focus

However, God has provided an escape route for people who are trapped in sin.

Jehovah provided his Son Jesus Christ as a sure route of escape.

Any man or woman who believes in Jesus can overcome the craving of sin, and escape the penalty of sin. Christ the Son of God is the pathway to victory.

To enjoy the victory, a person must confess Christ as his/her personal Lord and Savior. The scripture stated,

“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:9-10 NKJV)

Prayer on God’s Help to Serve Him in Holiness

sharpDear Lord, I have the desire to serve you in holiness; I want to meet your expectations and live a holy life.

Meanwhile, it is sometimes difficult to meet your holiness standard; therefore, I am asking for your special grace to measure up.

Empower me through your Holy Spirit to do what pleases you so that I can be qualified to enter your kingdom.

In addition, I understand that no one can make it to heaven without first confessing Jesus Christ as Lord.

Therefore, I confess your Son Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior.

I will follow him today, and throughout my life – so help me God. Amen.
