Believers are challenged to understand the real motivation behind the salvation of their souls received through Jesus Christ. No one should take his or her salvation for granted, but deeply appreciate it.
The scripture stated,
“how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him, God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will?” (Hebrews 2:3-4).
Lesson on Motive of Salvation
The process of obtaining salvation for humankind was never cheap for Jesus Christ.
He had to vacate heaven (with all its comforts) to come to earth; he had to suffer persecution from his enemies.
Ultimately, Christ had to die on the cross to obtain salvation for humankind.
Hence, no child of God should take his/her grace of salvation for granted! We are to humbly come to the feet of Jesus Christ and accept him as our Lord and Savior. Also, to appreciate Christ’s work of salvation, we must truthfully serve God with a devoted mind.
Prayer on Motive of Salvation
“I have decided to follow Jesus; I have decided to follow Jesus; I have decided to follow Jesus: No turning back; No turning back.”
I (mention your name), I give my life to Jesus Christ. I believe he is the Son of God; he has paid for my sins, and I receive my forgiveness of sin through him. Therefore, I declare him (Jesus Christ) to be the Lord of my life.
I give my complete life to him, and I will faithfully serve him with all my strength and might. I will follow and serve Jesus Christ throughout my life!
Please Lord, give me grace to serve you unto the end! For in the name of Jesus Christ alone I have prayed.
