Prayer is effective. God will listen to people who call him out for help. He will respond to every honest prayer that is made. God’s response may be “Yes, No, or Later!”
Indeed, effective communication with God is the key to overcoming any life problem. King David in the Bible taught us the importance of prayer: He was in a bad situation; his son forcefully overthrew him.
Everyone supported David’s son (Absalom), but David was not lonely; he knew what could be achieved through prayer.
He humbled himself and asked God to help him. God answered. He miraculously defeated all David’s foes and reestablished his kingdom.
The same God that helped David then can still help us today if we can pray to him.
